About Torkard Film Festival

The TFF is focused on not only bringing that film festival vibe to North Nottingham but showing the work created by some of the best filmmakers the country has to offer. These are writers, directors and actors dedicated to telling real stories from their own experiences, lives and communities.

The TFF will be screened at the Arc Bryon Cinema in Hucknall, Nottingham. It is a venue that has a rich and varied story, located in an ex-mining town that has history running as deep as the coal that was once the lifeblood of this community.

We're interested in films that tell honest stories and about real people; the drama, the humour and reality of life on our little island, in our cities, towns and villages. From the light-hearted or the ridiculous and fun, to the intensely emotional or heart-breaking, we'd love to bring the quality of those cinematic short tales to Hucknall, Nottingham.

All films chosen will receive a finalists laurel and for those chosen as winners in each award category.
